Situated in the Ebbw Fawr valley just north of the confluence of the Ebbw Fawr and Ebbw Fach rivers at Aberbeeg. This Colliery was first listed in 1860, owned by the Aberbeeg Colliery Company, who sold it to Webb and Spittle in 1868.

Powell Bros took over the ownership in 1873. In 1888 Henry Powell was named as the owner and the colliery, which worked the Tillery seam employed 291 men in 1900.

From the Inspector of Mines list 1896, there were 260 men employed here and at that time it was held by the Executors of the late Henry Powell.

Aberbeeg was taken over by Budd and Company in 1902 and in 1908 the workforce numbered 334.;

In 1918 and 1923 there were 213 and 192 men employed respectively.

Locally known as Budd's it closed in 1926.
