Glyntillery.
Situated in the Glyn valley between Hafodyrynys and Pontypool, this drift mine was opened around 1915 by the Glyntillery Colliery Co.
By 1918 it was employing 52 men.
From a list 1923, there were 106 men employed, producing House coal from the Tillery seam.
In 1938 and 1945 there were 129 and 159 men employed respectively.
During the 1950's it became integrated with Hafodyrynys and Tirpentws collieries, forming a single unit. But this venture was dogged by bad geological conditions.
Glyntillery closed in 1976.
